One in a series of adventure stories for boys and girls issued by the David C. Cook Publishing Company meant to instill moral virtues without cramming them down the children's throats - more about learning to do the right thing than of rote righteousness. This story is set on a working ranch with mountains nearby, and contains several black and white illustrations. Three quarter purple cloth over marbled boards, gilt lettering, 96 pages. Some light external wear, mainly just a bit of rubbing to the corners and edges. Good hinges, sound binding, clean pages with an inscription on the front free endpaper in pencil, but no other markings. About a dozen pages have small dark outer margin spots, not affecting the printed area. A clean, sound and attractive copy.
