One in a series of adventure stories for boys and girls issued by the David C. Cook Publishing Company meant to instill moral virtues without cramming them down the children's throats - more about learning to do the right thing than of rote righteousness. This story is set on the western shore of Lake Huron and contains several black and white illustrations. Three quarter maroon cloth over marbled boards, gilt lettering, 96 pages. Some fairly light external wear, mainly rubbing to the corners and spine ends, some chipping to the edges of the marbled paper, some soil to the spine area. Good hinges, sound binding, clean pages with an inscription on the front free endpaper but no other markings. A sound and internally very clean copy.
