The introductory part contains general information about population, geology, flora, fauna, industries, etc., with quite a bit of information about native plantes. Also includes plans and descriptions of castles, churches, cathedrals and other important buildlings. Dark tan cloth, gilt top, other edges uncut, a hefty 773 + 36 pages. Externally quite worn and spotted, with surface splits along the joints (underlying hinges basically sound, the front one just starting to crack). Internally much better, with many pages unopened. Text block solid with no loosened pages. Pages clean, folding maps very good, with each map having a small closed tear in the margin where it connects with the book. Name on front free endpaper. .
