This title last in the series list on the verso of the title page. Tan cloth with pictorial designs surrounding a central oval on the front cover, covers printed in black and red, 218 pages plus advertisements. Some light rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, spine slightly darkened, sound text block, clean pages free from names or other markings, light finger soil to rear endpapers. A clean and sound copy.

New York Grosset & Dunlap 1912 Hard Cover Good Good 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
Tan cloth with pictorial designs surrounding a central oval on the front cover, covers printed in black and red, 216 pages plus advertisements. Internally very clean, but covers badly spotted, most likely from exposure to moisture, but with no signs of dampness to the pages and no musty odor. Some light edgewear, good hinges, sound text block, very clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is age-toned and has some edge chipping, about two to three percent paper loss overall.

New York Grosset & Dunlap 1917 First Edition Hard Cover Very Good Good 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
First ediiton in later dustjacket, with this title last in the series list on the verso of the title page, but with Airline Express the final title on the dustjacket flap. Tan cloth with pictorial designs surrounding a central oval on the front cover, covers printed in black and red, 218 pages plus advertisements. Some rubbing to the corners and spine ends, spine just a little scuffed, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with a brief gift inscription dated 1927 and an old typed piece of paper mounted on the front free endpaper with the words "He who steals or / Hurts this book / May consider himself / A dirty crook", no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket has a sunned spine and several chips and tears with fairly little paper loss.

First edition, with this title appearing last on the rear cover. Pictorial boards with orange-yellow printed spine and list of titles on the back, top edge tinted blue, pictorial endpapers, 177 pages. Some very light surface soil and a bit of very light rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages free from names or other markings, internally near fine.

Light shelfwear, good hinges, firm text block, some foxing to the front endpapers and half-title, age-toned but clean pages free from names or other markings.

British series, same story as number 30 in the American series by Grosset & Dunlap, about a young scientist whose amazing inventions promise to be the great achievements of the future. This is one of the last of the series, which was discontinued after publication of number 33. Pictorial boards with orange-yellow printed spine and list of titles on the back, top edge tinted blue, pictorial endpapers, 160 pages. Almost no shelfwear, good hinges, firm text block, age-toned but clean pages free from names or other markings, internally about fine.
