Part of the Anchor Bible series, known for its scholarly yet approachable analysis of its subject matter, drawing upon a thorough analysis of grammar and philology, literary forms and context, religious and social situation, as well as historical context, meanwhile providing down-to-earth comments that enrich the experience of general readers. Blue cloth lettered in silver gilt, 241 pages, printed dustjacket. The book has some very light rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, sound text block with no loosened pages, pages clean with a name on the front pastedown, no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and has some very light edgewear. A very clean and sound copy.
