Boston Munroe & Francis 1843 Hard Cover Fair 
Worn copy of this collection of several stories for children, illustrated with full page wood engravings. Tales includes: Girls I Have Known; New Flittertigibbet; Dapple and His Friends; The Village Florist; The Young Emigrant; The Helpless Orphans; The Lost Day; Little Rachel; The Young Angler; A Delightful Morning; Poor Little Lucy; Janetta and Her Jujubes; Salutary Fear. Printed boards (front board dated 1844), 216 pages. Covers heavily rubbed with wearthrough along the spine and corners, hinges internally cracked but secure, pages age-toned but generally clean with occasional finger soil to the margins, several engravings neatly colored in with watercolors, name on front free endpaper.

London T. Nelson & Sons 1874 Hard Cover Good None 
Adventure story for children inspired by Defoe's Robin Crusoe. Illustrated with a color frontis, color engraved title and numerous black and white illustrations throughout the text. Victorian binding in brick colored cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in black, color illustration mounted on the front cover, 224 pages. Some external wear, mainly rubbing and light fraying to the corners and spine ends, some rubbing to the cover illustration but with little loss of color, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with an attractive gift inscription in pencil on the front free endpaper, no other markings.
