Externally rough but quite serviceable copy of this popular history of New England including its first European settlement; the French and Indian Wars; story of Miles Standish; King Phillips' War; the Revolutionary War; more. Brown cloth lettered and decorated in gilt and in blind, 428 pages. Covers chipped at the extremities, especially at the spine ends, front hinge partially cracked but cover well attached, text block sound with no loosened pages, pages lightly foxed but generally clean, name in pencil on preliminary blank.
