European visitor's fascinating account of an extended trip through Russia's northern reaches and lower outskirts with particular attention paid to regional pride. Divided into four sections: Siberia; Central Asia; The Volga and the Steppes; Russia. Illustrated with eight pages of black and white illustrations, including a nineteenth-century completely woodcarved Cossack mansion and a picture of Lenin lying in state at his house in Gorki where he died January 1924. Red cloth with black spine lettering, map endpapers, 241 pages, illustrated dustjacket. "Compliments of" slip from the publisher laid in loosely at the front. The book is in very good condition, looks and feels about new, with very light foxing to its top edge, some vaguely apparent surface soil, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is also in very good condition with some light edge rubbing.
