Dodd, Ruth and Loring Bookplate of Ruth and Loring Dodd 1929 Very Good This is not a book, but a bookplate only. It is from the library of Ruth and Loring Dodd, authors of dog books, most notably The Cocky Cocker Book. Loring Dodd was a professor of English at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and was instrumental in developing the Fine Arts Perfomance Series that ran from 1922 until the mid 1960s. The bookplate is fairly large, measuring about 6" x 4", and depicts a couple in front of a fire, him reading, her doing needlework, with Ruth and Loring Dodd : their book, below. The book it came from (long since divorced from the bookplate) was number 1839 in their library, and the plate is dated April 1929. Condition is very good with age-toning only, no chips or tears, just a smidgen of paste residue on one side of the back. Price:
25.00 USD
