The book is divided in to six parts. The first examines racial classification, Asian ideas of man's origins and describes the geography of each region. The next four parts focus on reconstructing traditional and historical accounts of the north, south, east and west. Black cloth with heavy gilt spine lettering, 414 pages with index, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with a tiny nick to its lower inside rear cover edge, some light surface rubbing along the top quarter and eighth of front and rear covers, respectively, and with a sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is also in very good condition with a lightly faded spine.
