Biography, written by his private secretary, of a British politicial who was anti-slavery and who supported by the American and French Revolutions. Front cover absent, original paper covered rear board detached but present and heavily worn, fragments of blue-gray spine covering present. Text block loosened but with no detached pages, pages worn at the outer edges, especially the first few, age-toning and occasional foxing throughout, begins with title page, which has numerous edge chips, a few tears, and spotting. Reading copy.
