A popular coming of age story for teenage girls in the thirties era. Light red cloth with black cover lettering, illustrated endpapers, full page color frontis portrait of the main character, salmon tinted top edge, 275 pages, color illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition, with mild edgewear including rubbed corners and spine ends, very lightly foxed edges, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is in good condition with a very neatly closed diagonal tear extending three and a half inches from top left corner of the front cover (not obstructing design), chipped extreme spine ends and corners, little to no additional edgewear.
