1 Abbott, Jane D. Laughing Last. In Dustjacket and Slipcase
New York Grosset & Dunlap 1924 Hard Cover Very Good Very Good 
Copyright 1924 by Lippincott, this copy most likely a couple of years later, 1928 if based on the gift notation on the front free endpaper. Includes very scarce series slipcase in addition to dustjacket. Maroon pictorial cloth printed in black, black and white plus orange frontis, additional black and white plates, color illustrated dustjacket. The book has very little wear, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages with no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket has a darkened background, mainly noticeable on the spine with edgewear and some very minor chips to the lower corner and spine end. the blue slipcase has a pictorial orange label on one side with Happy Books for Happy Girls at the top, and yellow presentation label on the other side "for Her Majesty the Girl of Today". The closed edgs of the slipcase have been reinforced with brown tape, and the case has considerable edge rubbing, light soil and foxing to the labels, split along seam at top edge.

New York Grosset & Dunlap 1925 Hard Cover Very Good Very Good 
Undated, circa 1925. Bright orange cloth with black lettering and decoration, royal blue tinted top edge, illustrated endpapers, 331 pages including publisher's advertsements, color illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with lightly soiled joints, gently rubbed spine ends, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is also in very good condition with minor chipping to the spine panel ends, two less than half-inch chips at bottom edge of front panel and two less than half-inch neatly closed tears to top panel, overall light surface soil.
