Fascinating historical perspective on nineteenth century American history as shown through 59 numbered and lettered map plates (double-page plates have two numbers), many in color, with much supporting textual material. Three quarter calf over green cloth, externally worn with numerous edge chips, covers detached with spine covering absent, internally good with a dampstain extending along the upper margin though the entire book but without affecting printed area, additional dampstain to the lower and inner margins for the first several pages of the book, but again not affecting the printed area, no names or other markings.
