Attractive copy of this dramatized account of the migration of French Protestants to Florida and the difficulties encountered there, ending with the butchering of most of the colony by Spanish Catholic ship captain Pedro Menendez and his crew of 2,600 men in 1565. Emerald green cloth lettered in black with a small color illustration mounted on the front cover, 198 pages plus two pages of publisher's ads, no dustjacket. Some cover wear and rubbing, rear hinge lightly cracked but structurally sound, staples visible after the front free endpaper (binding is stapled and cased into the cloth covered boards), pages age-toned with occasional foxing, free endpapers heavily foxed, old price and small black crayon mark on front free endpaper, no names or other markings.. Author's Revised Edition(Third Thousand). Hard Cover. Good/No. 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall.
