No. 96 in the Britain in Pictures series. Includes eight color plates and twenty-five black-and-white illustrations, depicting famous artists' renditions of man's best friend and well-known dog owners from history, e.g., William Hogarth, Anne of Denmark and Ben Marshall. Rust and white illustrated boards, 48 pages, matching illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with very mild edgewear including rubbed corners and spine ends, sound text block, good hinges, very light foxing to the margins and edges, otherwise clean pages with no names or other markings. The dustjacket is not priceclipped and is also in very good condition with only a mildly rubbed spine panel, hardly discernable foxing to the white front cover border line.
