Providence, Rhode Island: Albert C. Greene, Printer, 1850. First edition [1850]. Literature, poetry and short essays for women, illustrated with engravings, frontis engraved portrait of Jenny Lind printed on pink paper. Lgith brown cloth lettered and decorated in gilt and blind, 7.25 inches tall, 144 pages. Covers worn with some wrinkling to the lower edge from poor storage (perhaps due to uneven weight on top), some browning and spotting to the covers, front cover gilt clearly legible, good hinges, sound text block, age-toned and foxed endpapers, occasional light foxing throughout the text, gift notation on front free endpaper, no other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 16mo - over 5" - 6" tall. First Edition.

Disbound little volume containing 62 pages of text plus 24 plates: 23 hand colored plates (including frontis, title page and 2 different plates labeled plate 18), and one non-colored plate. Stiff dark green softcover with lettering and wreath design in gilt, about 5.25" tall. Unfortunately, the binding glue has let go and the contents are separated into individual pages, all present. Otherwise the covers are very good, hinges holding the endpapers also very good, pages slightly age-yellowed but clean and unmarked, name and 1870 date on front free endpaper. . First Edition. Soft Cover. Fair. 24mo - 5" - 5" Tall. First Edition.

Covers lightly rubbed with spine lettering and decoration worn but legible, light chipping to spine ends, sound text block, pages age-toned but generally clean with some darkened areas from little fingers, light occasional foxing, intermittent tiny dampstain to top edge of text block, old gift notation in pencil on preliminary blank.. Hard Cover. Fair. 16mo - over 5" - 6" tall.
