By the last general to command an atomic mission, this book describes the author's involvement in both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing runs, capturing the hopes and fears of that period at the end of World War II. Illustrated in black and white. Includes a personalized inscription to a fellow military pilot with "all best wishes" and "keep 'em flying", signed by the author. The book looks and feels nearly new but with a slight lean to the spine and a bit of rubbing to the foot of the spine, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages with no other names or markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is priceclipped and has some minimal shelfwear, mainly a bit of very light rubbing to the lower edge, no chips or tears.
