East Aurora, New York: The Roycrofters; Wm. H. Wise & Co., 1916. Memorial Edition [1916], published shortly after Hubbard's untimely death on the Lusitania in 1915. Worn but sound set in full flexible blind embossed leather covers, gilt tops, tan dustjackets printed in black and red. Illustrated throughout with portraits plus a full color presentation plate indicating that the set was "specially prepared" for Nancy Edith Cooper. Includes the guide which is bound in textured tan cloth. Some chipping to spine ends, some other rubbing and scuffing, and some uneven tonality to the covers, name stamp on bottom of each text block, on the front pastedowns, at the bottom of the presentation plate, and at the bottom of the title page of each volume, plus a personal bookplate in volume I. Other names on front endpapers of a few volumes. Text blocks are sound, hinges good, pages a bit age-yellowed but clean other than the aforenoted names, etc. The mylar protected dustjackets have some chips, mainly to the spine ends, with none of the spine lettering materially affected, a few old tape repairs to the reverse sides. The guidebook has some darkening around the spine edges but is otherwise in very good condition.. Hard Cover. Fair/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Dust jacket present.
