Illustrated throughout in black and white, far better quality printing than the cheesy reprints currently available. Also includes a one-page color chart that is badly torn and about thirty percent chipped away. Three quarter thin brown leather over brown pebbled cloth, various pagination, about an inch thick. Spine badly dried and chipped, covers worn, internally much better with good hinges, sound text block, mainly very clean pages with a few having minor fingerprinting in the lower margins, no names or other markings. Includes descriptions of materials and such techniques as plaitings, puffings, smocking, tiling, paneling, stencils, fresco decorations, scroll decorations, lattices, Tarlatan backgrounds, crape-paper ruffles and roping, festoons, tabs, portieres, lace curtains, etc., with additional sections on color combinations and harmonies. .
